Tortoise (Rosewood)

The tortoise represents strength, endurance and most of all, longevity. Even though the Crane is believed to live a thousand years, the tortoise can live ten times longer. Tortoises are also very humble creatures. Although strong and long-lived, they have a humble existence. They are unwilling to rush through life. Hence, they also symbolize stability and durability.

The Tortoise is the most important symbol of longevity and stability.

Tortoise Shell

Protect yourself! The tortoise shell is a very important symbol of protection. It represents the protective force behind the long-lived tortoise. The tortoise symbolizes longevity, endurance and stability. But what is behind such strength? What protects him throughout his long life? His shell of course!

Furthermore the shell is the color of bronze. Bronze is the color of metal and therefore can counteract ‘sha chi’ from the evil #5 yellow star. This is because metal weakens earth (the #5 yellow star is the element of earth).

It is also believed that a few coins are kept inside the tortoise shell will help you protect your wealth and even save money. The shell symbolizes protection over your assets.

The tortoise shell can also be used to perform I-Ching divinition. Three Chinese coins, placed inside the shell and casted out 6 times can be used obtain a I-Ching divination reading.

Tortoises of Harmony

Wouldn't you like a harmonious, happy family that is bonded together with love? The three tortoises on each other's back are significant of the family harmony that all of us crave.

The head of the Tortoise Family is depicted carrying a gold coin in its mouth. A symbol of his loving yet caring ability to take care of his family. The younger tortoises are seen supporting the head of the family, all working together as one special household.

Traditional Kei Loons

A timeless classic. Let your neighbors and friends boast of their Kei Loons, then watch their jaws drop as you unveil your Traditional Kei Loons. But still as effective as any of the "standard" Kei Loon's, if not better. As used by the original mainland Chinese, this is one of our rarer pieces.

Your Traditional Kei Loons possess an authentic charm and feel that hints at fashionable subtlety. Finished in popularly traditional prosperity-bringing gold, they are a beautiful sight to behold.

Traditionalists refer to this creature as the Chinese Unicorn. Having emerged from the river, it carried on its back the great symbol of Taoism. Placed in front of the main door facing outwards, it is believed by many Chinese to be the ultimate form of protection. It is said to act as a deterrent against anyone intending you harm. Wandering evil spirits are also said to be frightened away by the powerful figures of the Traditional Kei Loons guarding your home.

Traditional Pi You
